A Prayer for the Incarnation

O Mighty One, giver of all things good, perfector of all imperfection, boundless lover of all creation; we thank you for sending your Son to us, for us; Emmanuel, God with us. Prepare our heart Dear Lord and Father, as we celebrate the birth of our Savior and King. Prime our spirit as we welcome your glorious light into humanity; God in flesh, dwelling among us and in us. May we humbly contemplate the incomprehensibility of the incarnation of your Son and the power with which you work in and through your creation. Thank you, Father, thank you. Praise be to your glory. In your Son and our King Jesus’ name. Amen and amen.
