Dark Days
Questionable ways

Sad eyes
Acts we despise

Broken hearts
loved ones torn apart

Fear and mass confusion
Terror moving by diffusion

Quasi-religious motivation
Blood spilt in devastation

When one’s intent
causes us to resent

With mourning and frustration
Spreading through the nation

These are dark days

“His eyes are on the ways of men;
he sees their ever step.
There is no dark place, no deep shadow,
