Breathing

With every intake of breath
I feel
fulfilled, made whole, complete

To embrace the magnitude of breathing
truly, truly breathing
is
a concept not too often grasped

Because as Christ-followers
when we breathe
we join into the loving-union
the perichoretic dance of the Trinity
When we breathe we are filled with the Holy Spirit:

Pure & wise
considerate yet radical
submissive & merciful
prosperous yet impartial
sincere & full-of-love
humane & full-of-grace

If that is what happens when we breathe
let’s breathe
let’s breathe deep

“And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” John 20:22 NIV
