Feeling Small, But Significant

There are times in life
that all seems large
overwhelming
and never-ending

suffering, tragedy
loss, sin
hopelessness
doubt

There are times in life
that I feel so small
and barley visible
or relevant

Lacking the ability
to impact
or
be the beacon
Jesus has called us to be

Then I realize:

I AM a sinner
but justified by grace
I AM to suffer
but have been promised salvation
I AM cynical
but God is waiting to wrestle

I AM just a portion
of a collective stronghold

I AM ordinary
but extraordinary
I AM small
BUT I AM SIGNIFICANT

For we are God’s handiwork (Eph. 2:10a NIV)
